"The true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints of morning or evening. It is a little star-dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched."
-Henry David Thoreau
A work in progress, still on the needles. My take on the traditional witch's hat: not a somber black, but the whirling color progression of the Wheel of the Year. Wool, with a kiss of silk and kid mohair.
The funny lumpy bits at the bottom are the brim (in progress) and will look much less ornery when bound off.

That much wool will deflect a small farmhouse. Good hat.
